SPECIAL NEEDS CLASS

The highlight of this year's Parents of Down Syndrome (PODS) recently held buddy walk was a karate demonstration by Master Eric Kovaleski, owner of Tang Soo Karate School, Dickson City, who has worked with several Down syndrome children over the past several years and has started class specifically for PODS children that focuses on their ability rather than disability. Kovaleski teaches the children how to exercise their bodies and minds, and they learn mutual respect, discipline, concentration, and team unity while reaching their individual goals.
