Robert Kovaleski started training in the martial art of Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan
in 1966 under Senior International Grand Master Frank Trojanowicz, Dan #13333 at
the Scranton Karate School. There he begun to teach and taught among
others martial arts movie star, Cynthia Rothrock. Grand Master Robert
continued his training and teaching and was promoted to 7th degree black belt on
October 30, 2003 by his instructor Grand Master Ho Sik Pak of California and
President of the Hwa Rang World Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation, earning the
title of Kwan Jang Nim or Grand
Master.
Grand Master Robert
continues to oversee the I.T.M.A. which he founded in September 1994, and 3
Master Kovaleski's Tang Soo Karate Schools, so that he can insure that all
students and members will not only grow with proper Tang Soo Do technique but
also to grow in their personal and spiritual lives and that they learn the
values of faithfulness, perseverance and honesty.
Grand Master Robert also sits on the technical advisory
committee of the Hwa Rang World Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan federation. He is
available for seminars on philosophy, self-defense and traditional forms.

Sa Bom
Nim (Master Instructor) Eric P. Kovaleski is the head
instructor at Master Kovaleski's Tang Soo Karate Schools. Master
Kovaleski is a 5th Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan and has
been recently named to the United States National
Martial Arts Team set to compete at the March 2004 World Games to
be held in Athens, Greece. In addition to the 5th Degree Black Belt, Master Kovaleski is the
Chairman of the International Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan Association. Tang
Soo Do is a 2000-year old martial art form in which Master Kovaleski has
trained and studied since the age of four under the tutelage of his
mentor and father, Kwan Jang Nim
(Grand Master) Robert P. Kovaleski. His extensive training has also
included instruction under Tae Bo founder Billy Blanks as well as
several of the greatest oriental masters of Tang Soo Do.

Internationally recognized
as a Black Belt Instructor, Master Kovaleski has taught
self-defense and combat skills to the U.S. Army and is the head of
the "Constructive Alternatives to Drugs" team. Master
Kovaleski was awarded a citation from the House of Representatives
for winning the 1994 World Fighting
Championship and 1994 National
Championship for Forms, Breaking and Weapons.

Sa Bom Nim (Master
Instructor) Frank P. LeVasseur 6th Degree Black Belt Instructor ~Born July 25, 1949~ became a member of Master Kovaleski's Tang Soo Karate Schools in September of 2005. In 1964, Master LeVasseur briefly trained in Kyo Ku Shin Kai Karate (Japanese Style). This training was the beginning of his dedication to the Martial Arts.
Master LeVasseur began training in Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan in 1969. He started his training after being discharged from the United States Marine Corps. His Master Instructor was Kwan Jang Nim (9th Degree Grand Master) James K. Roberts Sr. of Roberts School of Karate. Master LeVasseur was awarded his 6th Degree Black Belt from Grand Master Roberts December 12, 1998.
In 1985, Master LeVasseur was the founder of The LeVasseur School of Karate which was located in Prince Georges County, Maryland. In 1992, he retired at the Rank of Detective from the Metropolitan Police Dept., Washington D.C. Due to his retirement, Master LeVasseur then relocated to Tennessee where he reopened the Karate School and changed the name to The Mid U.S.A. Martial Arts Academy. He instructed and taught Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan there for nine years closing the Do Jang in 2002.
In 2005, Master LeVasseur once again relocated to Waymart, PA and is now teaching at Master Kovaleski's Tang Soo Karate School with the tutelage of Kwan Jang Nim Robert Kovaleski and Sa Bom Nim Eric Kovaleski.
